Brian Kester

I began working in a small office in Springfield as an assistant property manager in 1995, but was quickly promoted to the head property manager position. In June of 2006 I received my real estate broker’s license. In February of 2008 I was hired by the owner of Bell Real Estate to help in re-organizing & revamping the property management side of their business. Since beginning work with Bell Real Estate, I have steadily increased my activities in helping clients to buy & sell real estate. Through my experience working as a property manager, I have remodeled hundreds of properties including complete guts of homes, moving of walls, opening up windows, etc. I believe my vast experience in real estate over the last 30 years is a great benefit to my clients. I am available to my clients 7 days a week & work with only a few clients at a time so that I can be sure to meet their needs & serve them to the best of my ability. You will not be handed off to an assistant - I will help you from beginning to end. In the fall of 2023, I retired as a property manager & now focus my attention on being a great real estate agent.
BACKGROUND:
I grew up in Anchorage Alaska & was very active in a variety of sports including long distance running, tennis, and downhill skiing. I graduated from the University of Oregon in 1991 with degrees in Management, Marketing & Psychology. I have lived and worked in the Eugene/Springfield area since 1994.
WHAT I BRING TO MY CLIENTS:
- One on one direct communication (no team) 7 days a week
- Step by step information on the process of buying and/or selling a home
- In depth discussions of options during the purchasing/selling process - particularly during the initial offer phase & after inspections.
- Extensive photos of the interior & exterior of your home and property; Drone photos & videos when needed at no extra cost!
- Detailed descriptions of your home and property
- Three decades of property management experience including working with tenants, as well as updating, remodeling, & pre-listing improvements
- Completion of thousands of home inspections as part of my property management duties & collaboration with home inspection companies
- If needed and requested, I can help determine what work is needed to get your home ready to list for sale and even help coordinate the work to be done.
- I can help buyers understand the costs and difficulties of repairs and how to address them in a purchase transaction. For sellers I can recommend and show you the benefits of doing specific repairs and improvements prior to listing in order to maximize your sales price.

I work with my clients to discuss their objectives, needs & wants and then come up with a plan to list their home and/or to begin their search for a new home. For investors, my 28 years of property management experience allows me to easily find good purchase opportunities. I am readily available to my clients, responsive to their needs, & a detail oriented person who likes to get things done. However, what is most important to me is that I serve my clients best interests & that they are happy with the results. My strengths are in evaluating properties for my clients & explaining potential repairs, improvements, income and/or benefits of a property and the estimated costs involved. This can be a great benefit for both buyers & sellers in that I can show them areas of concern with a property which can effect the sales price of a property.
